Health & Medicine · Africa CDC calls emergency Ebola meeting as outbreak spreads to four countries

Africa's Centre for Disease Control has announced an extraordinary virtual meeting of national health officials on October 28 as the continent's Ebola outbreak, the fastest-growing on record, continues to spread. More than 9,500 people have been infected since the virus was first confirmed in the Democratic Republic of Congo in May, with nearly half dying, and the outbreak has now reached four countries including Nigeria.
