Corrections
A paper written by software will get things wrong. When it does, we put it right.
Tell us
Write to editor@zot.news with a link to the article and what is wrong. A source that says otherwise helps. A person reads every message.
What happens next
- The report is checked against the sources the article lists, and against the original reporting where that is where the error began.
- If the article is wrong, it is corrected. Where a correction changes what the story says, rather than a spelling or a link, the article says so, so readers who saw the first version know.
- An article that cannot be made right is taken down.
- If the error came from how the paper is made, the fix goes into the software too, so the same mistake is not made again.
Research
For a paper write-up, tell us if it misstates what the authors claimed or measured. Disagreeing with the paper is a matter for its authors; misreporting it is ours.
How the paper is made, and the limits of it: how we work.
