Airbnb will no longer allow hosts to require guests to strip beds, wash and put away dishes, start laundry or remove trash before checkout, a policy update that takes effect for reservations made on or after November 20. The move follows years of guest complaints about long chore lists on top of cleaning fees, but some hosts say it pushes the platform toward a hotel model and are threatening to leave.
