Bob McGrew, OpenAI's former research chief, has revealed Arda, a stealth startup that has raised $230 million at a $1.5 billion valuation to build AI software aimed at returning manufacturing to the United States. The round was led by Altimeter Capital, Accel and Khosla Ventures, and the company says its models are already deployed with military technology company Anduril.
