Brad Lander, the Democratic nominee for New York’s 10th congressional district, was detained by Israeli forces in the occupied West Bank on Monday while participating in an olive harvest with Palestinian farmers. Rights groups say he and about 80 volunteers were rounded up by military and police in an area declared a closed military zone near Bethlehem.
