German police on Thursday arrested a Ukrainian man, identified only as Vadym Y., on suspicion of spying for Russia. The Federal Public Prosecutor's Office in Karlsruhe said the suspect used his connections to European defense firms to gather intelligence on armored vehicle production, ammunition, explosives, and military facilities intended to secure NATO's eastern flank, allegedly passing the information to a Russian spy agency since July 2025.
