Gai Waterhouse, trainer of Cox Plate favourite Sir Delius, is aiming for her first victory in Australia's greatest weight-for-age race on Saturday. The 70-year-old training legend, who has won more than 150 group 1 races including a Melbourne Cup and eight Golden Slippers, has never claimed the Cox Plate, a race her father Tommy Smith won seven times.
