Google announced on Thursday at the Linux Foundation's AGNTCon+MCPCon in San Jose that it will offer Agent Compute Engine, the infrastructure used to power Gemini and other internal agentic workloads, as a cloud service preview later this year. The service gives each AI agent its own persistent, sandboxed microVM with isolated compute and memory, combining the speed of containers with the security of a sandbox.
