President Donald Trump is set to spotlight his administration's efforts against overseas crypto-fueled criminal operations at a Wednesday White House event on cybercrime, a White House official said. The official said U.S. law enforcement has halted about $833 million in crypto connected to overseas scams and seized 503 fraudulent crypto websites under the Homeland Security Task Force, while also informing nearly 9,000 U.S. citizens they were being victimized.
