Health & Medicine · Isle of Man assisted dying law receives Royal Assent

The Isle of Man's Assisted Dying Bill has been granted Royal Assent, allowing adults with a terminal illness and a life expectancy of 12 months or less to request an assisted death. The island is the first place in the British Isles to pass such a law, though the legislation required amendments before it could receive Royal Assent.
