A Kenyan court is set to deliver a judgment in the mass murder case against doomsday preacher Paul Mackenzie and 29 followers, who are accused of murdering 191 children by starvation in the Shakahola forest. Mackenzie's cult allegedly forced children to starve to death as part of a doomsday doctrine that deemed education and modern medicine as evil. All defendants have pleaded not guilty, insisting that nobody was forced to die.

Kenya has confirmed its eighth case of Ebola just two weeks after the country detected its first infection, as the deadly outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo continues to expand. The virus has killed at least 4,000 people in DRC since May, with the disease now reaching an eighth province.
Kenyan health authorities confirmed an eighth case of Ebola on Sunday, as testing of 38 people returned one positive result. The patient, a 49-year-old man who worked as a patient attendant cleaning utensils and linens, developed fever, headache and muscle pain and was likely exposed to the country's first case, according to Director-General for Health Patrick Amoth.
The Kenyan government announced four new confirmed Ebola cases on Saturday, bringing the national total to seven. Three of the new infections occurred among health workers who treated the country's first patient, and the fourth is a relative who had been in quarantine since early October.
