A 65-year-old South African woman, Janine Lochrenberg, has been killed in a shark attack off Orient Beach in KuGompo City (formerly East London), marking the country's first recorded fatal shark attack this year. The retired medical physicist was taking her daily morning swim with a local open water swimming club on Tuesday when she was bitten on her thigh and upper arm.
