Electronic Arts is closing BioWare, the studio behind the Mass Effect and Dragon Age series, and has halted development on the next Mass Effect game. The move is accompanied by around 400 layoffs, including roughly 50 at BioWare. The changes follow EA's $55 billion privatization deal that closed in August.
