A rogue landlord from Hounslow in west London who is being stripped of his OBE following a conviction for unlawfully renting out property in poor condition says he plans to challenge the decision. Nirpal Riat was fined more than £300.000 and now faces forfeiting the honour he recieved in 2011 for charity work. Hounslow Council's deputy leader, Tom Bruce, said the move sends a 'clear message' that exploiting tenants will not be tolerated.
