NSW Health has sounded the alarm over a sharp increase in patients arriving at emergency departments after injecting unapproved peptides, with data showing 1180 presentations between July 2025 and September 2026, including more than 217 in September alone. The rise is linked to a booming black market for injectables promoted by online wellness influencers.
