Raye has won the 2026 Mercury Prize for her second studio album This Music May Contain Hope, a 73-minute record blending big band jazz, power balladry, funk and more. The award, handed out yearly to the best British or Irish album, comes with a £25,000 prize and caps a remarkable turnaround for the singer who publicly fell out with her former label in 2021 over an inability to release a studio album.
