Shabana Mahmood

The UK home secretary, Shabana Mahmood, will meet the EU’s home affairs commissioner, Magnus Brunner, on Monday to discuss migration, border management, law enforcement cooperation and counter-terrorism, according to the European Commission. The talks come after Andy Burnham announced plans to use an upcoming EU-UK summit to lay out options for Britain’s long-term relationship with the bloc, including rejoining European law enforcement databases.
