Vice President JD Vance announced Wednesday that 40 individuals have been charged in connection with more than $40 million in fraud targeting the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), a federally funded food assistance program for low-income Americans. The announcement comes as the Trump administration highlights its anti-fraud task force, created in February, which the White House says has identified $260.7 billion in fraud across the federal government since President Trump took office.
