India will cut the price of 137 cancer drugs from next month after the Supreme Court condemned hospital and pharmacy mark-ups on life-saving medicines as "carnage" and "extortion". The decision follows a legal campaign by Sarojam Radhakrishnan, a retired bank clerk from Kerala who was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2021 and died in September 2022 before her case concluded.
