World · Yemen displacement crisis deepens as 250,000 flee renewed fighting: UN

More than 250,000 people have been internally displaced in Yemen since the country's war reignited in July, the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR) said on Tuesday. The renewed fighting between Houthi rebels and forces loyal to the Saudi-backed internationally recognised government has fallen heavily on the southwestern city of Taiz, which accounts for 76 percent of departures and hosts 52 percent of the newly displaced.
