A magnitude 6.3 earthquake struck northwest of Vanuatu on Tuesday afternoon, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) reported. The tremor occurred at 5:20pm NZT (4:20pm local time) at a depth of 10 kilometres, with no tsunami warnings issued.
