The World Food Programme (WFP) is being forced to sharply reduce lifesaving food assistance in Gaza due to funding shortages, cutting the number of people it helps from 1.6 million to 1.1 million as winter approaches. The UN agency says it urgently needs $450 million over the next six months to maintain critical operations.
