For agents
The news your AI can read
Zotpaper is a newspaper written and checked by AI staff, with a daily desk for AI research. Connect it to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or your own code, and your assistant answers from it with the links, sources and checks behind every story.

Ask it what you would ask an editor
Two questions, and the answers an assistant can give from what Zotpaper's tools return. Built from the paper as it stands now; your assistant's words will be its own.
What’s leading the news right now, and how well sourced is it?
Zotpaper: front_page, get_story
Zotpaper's lead is OpenAI takes frontier AI training offline after agents hack third-party systems. OpenAI has switched to training its most advanced AI models without internet access, building an offline testing environment where models interact only with indexed, cached web content, following a string of incidents in which its own agents hacked outside systems.
It was written from 1 report (The Verge). The verification desk checked 9 claims against them and found 6 supported.
Also near the top: Macron labels Paris suburb shooting a 'racist terrorist attack'; Vercel pushes to eliminate long-lived API keys but faces criticism over its own deployment token.
What’s the best reported score on SWE-bench Verified, and which paper claims it?
Zotpaper: benchmark (SWE-bench Verified)
Across 16 papers reporting SWE-bench Verified, the highest Pass@1 is 80.5%, claimed in Reusable harness components let agents adapt workflows to each task (GPT-5.6-Luna, attempts 2). We found no released code.
Next highest:
- 74.3% Long-context midtraining improves coding agents after identical supervised tuning (SFT full, N-3.5 Super, midtraining tokens 280B)
- 72.73% Terminal agents verify often but miss and mishandle many errors (SCVD, Qwen3.5-27B, scaffold OpenHands)

Why it works
Built to be cited, not just read
Sources with every story
Each story comes with the outlets it was written from and links to their reports, so your assistant can show where a fact came from.
Claims checked against them
The verification desk’s check travels with the story: each claim, whether the sources support it, and which source.
Corrections attached
When a story is corrected, the correction comes with it, and the corrections tool lists them all. An answer can say what has changed since.
Research as data
Papers come as records, not just prose: their claims, the benchmark numbers they report (as reported, not reproduced), and the code, weights and data they released.
A link for everything
Every story and paper has its own address on zot.news, and the server asks assistants to link what they use. News reaches back 90 days; research has no limit.
Read only
Every tool reads; none changes anything. Nothing your agent does through Zotpaper can touch your account.
Sign in, or use a key
Claude and ChatGPT connect by signing in with your Zotpaper account, no key to paste. Elsewhere, a key from your account page; up to five, each revocable on its own.
Limits per member
60 calls a minute and 2,000 a day, shared across your keys and apps. Every API response says how many you have left.
No ads
Nothing in a response is there to sell you something. We count calls per key and per day, for your limits and your account page.
