Stause, 45, shared the news in a video posted to her Instagram. "G and I are no longer together," she said. "We have agreed to treat this public separation with love and respect for each other. It's not hard for me because I am in love with this person and I don't have all the information and the reasons... I'm sure, like always, with time you get the lessons you're meant to get." She concluded, "I'm going to heal and everything's going to be fine and I'm definitely never doing this again."
G Flip, 33, born Georgia Claire Flipo in Melbourne, met Stause at a Halloween party hosted by Australian singer Tones and I in 2021. The couple married in Las Vegas in 2023. In an interview last year with The Sydney Morning Herald and The Age's Sunday Life magazine, G Flip said they were undergoing IVF and described the process as a "rough time." "We've been struggling with it," G Flip said. "Queer couples are couples like anyone else."
G Flip first gained attention after being featured on Triple J's Unearthed segment in 2018, releasing their debut album "About Us" in 2019, which earned three ARIA nominations. Their second album "Drummer" debuted at No. 1 on the ARIA charts in 2023, and they won their first ARIA that year for Best Australian Live Act, followed by the 2024 Song of the Year for "The Worst Person Alive."
