Dalaroo Metals has reported strong early results from its Bondoukou Gold Ridge project in Côte d'Ivoire, with the second hole of a maiden reverse circulation (RC) drilling campaign intersecting 18 metres grading 7.31 grams per tonne (g/t) gold from 63 metres. The intercept included a higher-grade 12-metre section averaging 8.66 g/t.
The first hole of the campaign also delivered solid results, returning 23 metres at 2.14 g/t gold from surface, representing 49 gram-metres, all within the oxide profile of the mineralisation. A second deeper zone in hole two returned 16 metres at 1.46 g/t gold from 113 metres, equivalent to 132 gram-metres.
The company noted that the true widths and continuity between the two intersections are still unknown. The holes were drilled from opposing directions in a scissor-style pattern to better understand the orientation of mineralised structures.
"To see multiple mineralised zones on the very first holes gives a strong platform to build on and that we are putting our drill bit in the right places," said Dalaroo Metals chief executive officer John Morgan.
The results come from the first two orientation holes at the Wilfred target and mark the first systematic drilling across the project's identified 7-kilometre-long gold anomalous corridor.
Investors reacted enthusiastically, with the company's shares surging 67 per cent to an early high of 12.5 cents on its biggest trading volume in nearly a year.
