Five teenage boys were seriously injured after being stabbed at a Halloween party in Chandler's Ford, Hampshire, on Saturday night. Police said they believe an unknown group gained entry to the party and are appealing for witnesses and information to help identify the group.

The injured teenagers, three aged 16 and two aged 17, were taken to hospital. The incident occurred at a property on Park Road shortly after 22:30 GMT.

Hampshire Police said it believes an unknown group gained entry to the party before the stabbings. An investigation was launched and scenes remained in place on Sunday in Park Road and Valley Road.

Senior investigating officer Detective Chief Inspector Elizabeth Pirie said the force is working to identify the people involved. "We are already hard at work identifying anyone who was at the party who may be able to assist our enquiries, whether that be having directly witnessed what took place, having filmed any footage which may be relevant, or who may be able to help us identify the unknown group," she said. Pirie appealed for anyone with CCTV, mobile phone, dash cam or doorbell camera footage from the area to get in touch.

An eyewitness told the BBC that ambulances and an air ambulance attended. Another witness described seeing someone run from the house shouting he had been stabbed and was being chased.

Eastleigh MP Liz Jarvis said on X: "My thoughts are with the victims and their families and all those affected by the incident in Chandler's Ford last night, and my thanks go to our local police and emergency services for their prompt response. It's important not to speculate or share unverified information."
