The company completed 18 holes for 2,248 metres at the prospect, targeting higher-grade zones identified by earlier aircore drilling. Other notable intercepts include 2 metres at 8.92 g/t gold within an 11-metre interval grading 1.86 g/t from 45 metres, and 8 metres at 1.44 g/t from 67 metres, including 2 metres at 4.7 g/t gold. Additional results showed the system's breadth, with intercepts of 5 metres at 1.81 g/t from 61 metres and 2 metres at 1.41 g/t from a shallow 7 metres.
Great Southern managing director Matthew Keane said the prospect is "an emerging discovery with immense upside," noting that gold starts from surface and continues to the extent of drilling in fresh rock. He added that the company's aggressive 2026 RC drilling campaign has delivered strong results across three key targets including Amy Clarke, the Golden Boulder discovery and Mon Ami.
Amy Clarke lies within a high-strain structural corridor, a classic setting for gold deposition in the Eastern Goldfields. The mineralisation is associated with quartz veining and pyrite. Drilling remains shallow, averaging less than 100 metres below surface, with mineralisation observed from the oxidised zone extending into fresh rock. Reported intervals are downhole lengths; true widths have not yet been confirmed.
The prospect sits about 12 kilometres from Regis Resources' Garden Well processing facility, which has a capacity of five million tonnes per annum. It is also interpreted to lie along the same structural trend as Regis' Erlistoun open pit mine, about 3 kilometres to the north, which contains a 320,000-ounce resource grading 1.9 g/t gold.
Great Southern's broader Duketon project also includes the Golden Boulder discovery, where historic production averaged 28.6 g/t gold and the company has outlined mineralisation along 3.5 kilometres of strike. Assays are pending from another 6,000 metres of drilling at Golden Boulder and the Golden Boulder East trend.
Detailed geological mapping and multi-element geochemistry are now underway at Amy Clarke. The company is planning follow-up RC drilling and potential diamond drilling, with initial work expected to focus on open lodes in the northern part and the central section of the 4.7-kilometre trend. The system remains open to the south, where little drilling has been conducted.
