Three suspects arrested; conflicting accounts over coordination emerge
Jordan carried out airstrikes on armed groups in Syria on Monday in retaliation for a deadly attack on a Greek Orthodox church in Karak, Jordan, that killed nine people on Friday, according to the Jordanian air force. Syrian authorities reported at least five civilian deaths from the strikes, including women and children, and announced the closure of the Nassib border crossing. Earlier, Jordanian forces arrested three men in connection with the church attack after a shootout.
