Bondi hero Ahmed Al Ahmed one year on: family tension, bullet wounds and a memoir
The man who tackled gunman Sajid Akram during the Bondi shooting says he has 'never, never, never' regretted not pulling the trigger, as he prepares to release his book Light Will Win.
One year after he tackled a gunman during the worst terrorist attack on Australian soil, Ahmed Al Ahmed still has two bullets in his left arm, takes sleeping tablets and anti-anxiety medication, and faces a family legal battle, but says he has no regrets about not shooting the gunman and is planning a foundation to help women and children affected by domestic violence.
