ASOS reveals cyber attack sales hit, says impact will be temporary
Retailer says impact will be temporary; it says its investigation found hacker accessed customer names and contact details, but not payment information
Online fashion retailer ASOS said a cyber attack early last month was estimated to have knocked group sales, as measured by gross merchandise value, by around 2% to 4%, though it said the impact would be temporary and trading remained resilient. The company said its full internal investigation concluded that the hacker accessed basic customer data, including names and contact details, but not payment information or account passwords.
