5.9 million Bodum French press makers recalled over burn risk
CPSC warns glass carafes can break; company offers no refunds
Bodum USA is recalling 5.9 million French press coffee makers because the glass carafes can break unexpectedly, posing a burn risk. A notice posted by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission says the company has received 70 reports of breakage, including 48 resulting in burns. The affected models were sold at Target, Walmart, Amazon, and other retailers between 1974 and October 2026.
