Critically endangered leafless orchid found at a second site on NSW Mid North Coast
Teacher and botany enthusiast Nick Lambert found about 50 of the plants near Boambee, roughly 5 kilometres from the only other known location, and a botanist has confirmed the find
A critically endangered orchid believed to exist at only one location in the world has been found in a second patch of rainforest on the New South Wales Mid North Coast, after a teacher and botany enthusiast went looking for it. Nick Lambert discovered about 50 of the Bonville leafless orchids near Boambee, roughly 5 kilometres from the original site, and botanist Lachlan Copeland confirmed the population the next day.
