FBI says agent saw man shooting at group; authorities described 27-year-old Corrales as Venezuelan without legal status
An off-duty FBI agent shot and killed a man who was firing a gun at a crowd of people in Chicago's Pilsen neighborhood on Monday evening, the FBI said. The agent was driving home from work in an FBI vehicle around 5:30 p.m. when he saw the man shooting at a group of innocent people near 18th Street and Union Avenue, according to the agency. The FBI said the agent intervened to stop the ongoing threat and was not injured.
