Spain deports migrants from Ceuta as Amnesty warns of human rights risks
First deportation since mass border crossing in July sparks criticism ahead of snap elections
Spain has deported more than a dozen migrants from its North African enclave of Ceuta, prompting criticism from Amnesty International, which warned that Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez's left-wing government is endangering human rights. It is the first such deportation since a mass border crossing from Morocco in July that saw about 80,000 people enter the territory over 48 hours.
