OpenAI unveils GPT-6 Cyber with ‘critical’ vulnerability-hunting ability
Model exploits flaws in Firefox and Linux kernel; stays within scope 99.93% of the time in tests
OpenAI on Thursday launched GPT-6 Cyber, a specialised cybersecurity model it ranks as having ‘critical’ ability to identify vulnerabilities and develop exploits, up from ‘high’ for its predecessor. Built on GPT-6 Astra, the model is initially available only to a select group of approved Daybreak Red customers; Daybreak Red is for authorized red teaming, penetration testing and exploit validation.
