Bushby says end of trek brings sense of loss
The British adventurer is approaching the end of a journey that began in southern Chile in 1998.
Karl Bushby plans to reach his mother’s house in Hull sometime next week, which would complete nearly 28 years of travelling home across four continents. After swimming the English Channel in October, Bushby, who will be 57 when he arrives, has a final few hundred kilometres left and does not know what he might do next.
