A magnitude 4.9 earthquake with an epicentre in waters south of Adelaide rattled residents across the region this morning, Geoscience Australia has reported. Callers to ABC Adelaide described shaking, windows rattling and a brief rumble lasting several seconds from the metropolitan area to the south coast.
