For the first time, Germany's military has classified the threat of Russian sabotage against its troops and facilities as 'significant', the second highest threat level, following a series of incidents including an explosives laden drone found near the Wunstorf air base in Lower Saxony. The classification, reported by Sueddeutsche Zeitung on Oct. 21, marks an escalation in Germany's response to what intelligence officials describe as a 'shadow war' with Russia.
