The Department of Justice announced Tuesday that a New York woman has been convicted of receiving military training from the Islamic State in Syria. Halima Salman, 27, was found guilty by a jury after a two-week trial in which prosecutors said she received weapons training and pledged her loyalty to the terrorist organization.
