High Court hears Guardian and ITN argue duty to publish sexual allegations
Anonymous figure 'PPT' seeks injunction citing right to life
Two of Britain's leading news organisations, the Guardian and ITN, have told the High Court they have a duty to the public and their sources to publish allegations of exploitative sexual behaviour against a well-known figure, despite his lawyers arguing that doing so would put his life at risk. The anonymous individual, known in court only as 'PPT', is seeking a permanent injunction to block the publication of allegations he denies.
