Block, the financial technology company led by Jack Dorsey, has announced Dessa, an AI model trained entirely on human conversation. The company showcased the full-duplex speech model with chat examples that were mostly natural but occasionally uncanny, including one instance where the model mistook a speaker for someone named Ronaldo.
