Arlinda Zekaj was murdered with an axe in the village of Vitomirica on Sunday evening, hours after returning from a police station where she reported domestic violence and three days after writing to the chief prosecutor of Peja/Pec pleading for her life, officials and her lawyer said. The suspect, her brother-in-law, remains at large.
