Stanford scientists identify natural molecule that suppresses appetite in animals
AI-assisted discovery of the peptide BRP may offer weight-loss benefits while potentially avoiding some side effects of Ozempic, but human trials lie ahead
Scientists at Stanford Medicine, using artificial intelligence to search thousands of biological compounds, have identified a naturally occurring molecule that suppressed appetite and promoted fat loss in animal experiments, raising hopes for a new generation of weight-loss drugs without some of Ozempic's side effects, according to a study published in Nature.
