3,300-Year-Old Bronze sword found in Italian lake still sharp
Artifacts may reveal new insights into prehistoric Italian society
Archaeologists have recovered a well-preserved bronze sword from Lake Mezzano, a volcanic lake northwest of Rome, that has maintained its sharp edge after 3,300 years. Dating to the Late Bronze Age (14th–13th centuries BC), the sword is the third such find in the lake over the past 50 years.
