Encrypted mSecure database reportedly stolen, support responses say
mSeven has not publicly explained how the breach occurred, and customers question the scope of the password-reset advice
Customers of password manager mSecure have reportedly been told by the company's support team that a hacker stole an encrypted database from mSecure Cloud, according to responses shared on the company's support forum and reported by BleepingComputer. The disclosure goes beyond the company's public notice, sent November 3, which advised current and former customers to change passwords, reset two-factor authentication and potentially remove passkeys, without explaining what had happened.
