NBA embraces prediction markets with Kalshi and Polymarket partnerships
League signs preferred-exchange deals and a memorandum of understanding with the CFTC as the regulatory battle over event contracts intensifies
The National Basketball Association has named Kalshi and Polymarket as its preferred prediction-market exchanges, becoming the latest major US sports league to embrace the industry while also signing a cooperation agreement with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission. The partnerships include integrity protections, restrictions on the types of contracts offered and information-sharing requirements, the league said Monday.
