Nawaqanitawase impressing in first week at Saitama Wild Knights
Attack coach Berrick Barnes praises leadership; pre-season debut expected December 5
Mark Nawaqanitawase, the former Sydney Roosters and New South Wales State of Origin star, has been with his new Japanese club Saitama Wild Knights for just one week but is already making a strong impression. Attack coach Berrick Barnes says the winger's leadership qualities and positive attitude have stood out, and that some teammates are genuinely nervous and excited to have him on board. Nawaqanitawase is expected to debut in a pre-season game against Tochigi Honda Heat on December 5.
