King Charles III, Queen Camilla and the Prince of Wales will visit Aberfan on Wednesday to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the coal tip disaster that killed 144 people. They will attend a prayer service and moment of silence at the Aberfan Memorial Garden, built on the site of the destroyed Pantglas school, and meet survivors, bereaved families and emergency service workers who responded to the tragedy.
