An Uber driver has been ordered to pay a woman $20,000 in compensation after a terrifying discrimination incident during a ride home from work in Brisbane. The Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal found Jawad Ehrar subjected Kubra Hassani to a discriminatory tirade, locked the car doors and deliberately drove past the correct exit, leaving her traumatised and fearing for her safety.
