The cost of the Commonwealth government's troubled Snowy 2.0 pumped hydro scheme has exploded to a potential $25 billion, more than four times its original estimate, with completion now pushed back to late 2029, according to a long-awaited reassessment released by Snowy Hydro on Thursday.
